An 8x8 quick page inspired by my mother last Wednesday :)

I made this page on Thursday inspired by a conversation I had with my mom on Wednesday, but the story is a little bit older :)

The journaling is in Spanish. It's about a funny nickname based in my surname that two friends of mine started using for me a few years ago; then, my co-workers started using it too a few months ago without knowing about my friends. Last Wednesday, my mom surprised me since she uses it in her celular for my phone # :)

Wednesday's question.

Wednesday's Question to my followers for April 21st:

- How do you start your pages? Plain cardstock? Which color? Patterned paper? 50/50?

My answer:

I mostly use plain cardstock in a neutral color, but, if it goes with the theme of the page, I can use a piece of colored cardstock.

When using patterned paper, I mat my pic to let it stand out.

I have some pieces of pretty but busy patterned papers that I'd like to use trying a technique I've read in some blogs: paint the paper to kind of blur the pattern and give a base for the pic to lay on. It also works with a thin layer of gesso.

Wednesday's question.

Yesterday's evening, while I was using one of my new stamps, a question came to my mind, and, along with it, the idea of starting this new "section"

- Do you clean your stamps after each use? Why?
If you feel like it, tell me about how you do it :)


My answer:

I clean them with a liquid cleaner and a paper towel after each use, but yesterday I realized I really don't like the result...

Spring is here :)

Oh yeah! Spring is here :) I hope the weather gets better, even for a little bit...

I have to tell you about a few things; my weekend in Madrid and the great people I met, the Fallas that just finished,... Hey!! And I've finally bought the Slice!! hehehe

... time flies...

I've been struggling with some personal issues lately, and, fortunately, scrapping a little bit.

My brother, who is living in London, UK, just showed up at my parents' last Wed, Feb 3rd, and spent & enjoyed the weekend with us. THANKS BRO!!

Happy 2010

Well, another year has just passed by... and another decade...

Looking back, I can see my life like a rollercoaster, with the exciting moments and the not so exciting, but I'd rather look ahead :)

I began 2010 working and I continued it relaxed and calm. That must be a good augury.

Now, I just have in my mind enjoy my life as much as I can, and get rid of this sadness that has been with me for some time... I hope it goes away soon...

I've been thinking about it for these years but not sure if I could pick up just one for myself... until this year...


Bearing in mind what I've just written in the main part of this post, ACCEPTING is my word for 2010. Accepting changes, accepting challenges, accepting my life as it is, accepting myself as I am,...

I've found myself struggling with this things lately. It's time to work on that...

Yesterday's adventure :)

Yesterday, after a 17 hours of double shift, I finished at 8am and took a train at 8.35am to Barcelona, to attend and arts and crafts fair along with another crazy scrapper who I hadn't met before.

It was amazing!!!
