During last year's vacation in Tenerife, Jose bought a super camera. That day, in Garachico, he shot tons of pics of me and I love them. I really wanted to make a page with some of them.
Because life is made to enjoy those little magic moments...

- Lines or curves?
My answer:
I've realized I feel more comfortable working with blocks, like Tetris game! hehehe I mean, more graphic style, although you can use you corner rounder for a softer finishing touch :)
But let me tell you something, I love polka dots!! I even have a section in my papers for them :) And polka dots ribbon!!

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
- As a scrapper: are your a classic one/100% acid free or you like to experiment/mix media/etc?
My answer:
I really don't mix up too much, mainly because I'm not scrapping too much lately, but I think I'm not 100% loyal to acid/lignin free products :)
I have old book pages and old documents that I'd love to use, as well as comic pages, everything treated with distilled water (I read somewhere this method helps with acid).
Anyway, I don't mind if my projects last 30 years instead of 100, that's life!!
Wednesday's Question to my followers for April 28th:
- What's your favourite color and/or color combo?
My answer:
My favourite color is red; combined: black/white/red. I like some other combinations too: green/purple, fucsia/chocolate brow, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some other :)
I made this page on Thursday inspired by a conversation I had with my mom on Wednesday, but the story is a little bit older :)
The journaling is in Spanish. It's about a funny nickname based in my surname that two friends of mine started using for me a few years ago; then, my co-workers started using it too a few months ago without knowing about my friends. Last Wednesday, my mom surprised me since she uses it in her celular for my phone # :)
Wednesday's Question to my followers for April 21st:
- How do you start your pages? Plain cardstock? Which color? Patterned paper? 50/50?
My answer:
I mostly use plain cardstock in a neutral color, but, if it goes with the theme of the page,I can use a piece of colored cardstock.
When using patterned paper, I mat my pic to let it stand out.
I have some pieces of pretty but busy patterned papers that I'd like to use trying a technique I've read in some blogs: paint the paper to kind of blur the pattern and give a base for the pic to lay on. It also works with a thin layer of gesso.
Oh yeah! Spring is here :) I hope the weather gets better, even for a little bit...
I have to tell you about a few things; my weekend in Madrid and the great people I met, the Fallas that just finished,... Hey!! And I've finally bought the Slice!! hehehe
But I can't do it now... just wanted to tell you I'm around :) I'll be posting a few pics, telling you about everything, etc soon.

I knew about Scrapbooking in the USA, back in 98/99. I was on and off for a few years till I decided to give it a try again in Oct 05.
